...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast North Carolina, including the
  following counties, Brunswick, New Hanover and Pender.

* WHEN...Until 615 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 417 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Wilmington, Leland, Surf City, Hampstead, Northwest, Topsail
    Beach, Castle Hayne, Cape Fear Community College North
    Campus, Rocky Point, Murrayville, Wrightsboro, Wilmington
    International Airport, Kings Grant, Porters Neck, Bayshore,
    Ogden, Ashton, Hightsville, Windemere and Scotts Hill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
