...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN ROCK...SOUTHEASTERN
BROWN AND SOUTHWESTERN HOLT COUNTIES THROUGH 200 AM CDT...

At 108 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 16 miles south of Long Pine, or 16 miles south of
Ainsworth, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Hofeld Lake, Raven, Duff, Pony Lake, Sybrant, Jones Lake, Twin Lakes
State Wildlife Management Area, and Johnsons Corner.

This includes Highway 183 between mile markers 156 and 176.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in North Platte.
