...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
  expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Missouri, including the following
  county, western Shelby.

* WHEN...Until 645 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Rises in small streams.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1252 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding.
  - This includes the following streams and drainages...
    Black Creek, Bear Creek, Briggs Branch, Perry Branch, Little
    Otter Creek, Middle Fork Salt River, Crooked Creek, Ten Mile
    Creek, Pollard Branch, North Fork Salt River, Byar Branch,
    Cat Branch, Otter Creek and Saling Branch.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Clarence and Maud.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
