Here is a look at the weather features that will affect the region

A strong cold front is set to cross the area early this morning.
In the wake, high pressure briefly returns providing less
humidity, slightly cooler temperatures, and dry conditions. High
pressure exits Friday evening, while a warm front tracks through
early in the weekend. Heat and humidity return this weekend along
with increased thunderstorm chances. A cold front moves across
the area late Sunday. Behind this system, below normal
temperatures and dry weather are expected to start off the work
week.
