At 517 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles north of Ocracoke Ferry Terminal, or 17 miles west of Frisco, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Frisco, Buxton, Avon, Portsmouth Village, Ocracoke Light House, Hatteras Ferry Terminal, Ocracoke Ferry Terminal, Ocracoke Lighthouse, Avon Pier, and Cape Hatteras Lighthouse.
