...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN PITT...SOUTH CENTRAL
MARTIN AND NORTHWESTERN BEAUFORT COUNTIES THROUGH 400 PM EDT...

At 328 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Old Ford to near Black Jack. Movement was
east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Greenville, Washington, Pactolus, Bunyan, Old Ford, Washington Park,
Grimesland, Simpson, Smithwick, and Beargrass.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
eastern North Carolina.
