THIS EVENING...

.DISCUSSION...Pre-frontal southerly winds will increase this
afternoon. High resolution models are depicting one or two strong
thunderstorms tracking from Sanders County and northeast between 5 pm
and 9 pm this evening. One of these storms could either make a
direct hit or past just to the south. Either way, strong gusty winds
of 40 to 50 mph are not out of the question(40 percent chance). Timing
of the cold front passage will be between 8 and 10 pm, and there is a
50 percent chance for southwest gusts exceeding 40 mph for an hour or
less. Post-frontal showers will persist through daybreak Thursday.
Total rainfall ranges from 0.06" up to 0.31". Cooler, moister and
breezy, less than 20 mph, on Thursday.
