Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
436 PM MDT Thu Jun 13 2024

.Discussion...

A cool front will move across the plains later this afternoon and
evening. A few strong storms will be possible with very gusty winds
possible. This front will bring cooler weather to the region for
Friday.

Thunderstorms will be likely district-wide tomorrow, and widespread
strong to damaging winds will be possible during the afternoon time
period. Wetting rains will be likely most of the district,
especially over the plains.

For Saturday, thunderstorms will be much less and it will start to
warm up once again.

From Sunday through Tuesday, widespread meteorological conditions
favorable for extreme fire behavior will be likely across the entire
district. However, fuels at this time are not critical over the
district, and no fire weather highlights have been issued at this
time. IF THE FUELS CHANGE TO CRITICAL, THEN RED FLAG CONDITIONS WILL
BE IMMINENT.

Smoke dispersion rates tomorrow will vary over the district from
Fair to Excellent. Rates Saturday will be Very Good to Excellent
across the district

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
