The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Western Dent County in south central Missouri...
  Northeastern Texas County in south central Missouri...

* Until 1000 AM CDT.

* At 611 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain
  have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Salem, Licking, Montauk, Darien, Jadwin, Prescott, Gladden,
  Hazelton, Turtle, Montauk State Park and Ozark National Scenic
  Riverways.

This includes the following low water crossings...
  Boone Creek at Boone Creek Road, Big Piney River at Highway BB,
  Dry Fork Creek at County Road 2430, Mullin Branch at County Road
  2330 and Gladden Creek at County Road 624.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
