.DISCUSSION...
Hot, dry, and windy conditions on the desert mountain slopes and
into the deserts will create elevated fire weather conditions this
weekend into Monday. Gusty southwest to west winds for the
mountains and deserts will reach 20 to 35 mph, with locally
stronger gusts through passes each afternoon and evening. Lowest
daytime humidity will fall to 10 to 15 percent. Hot conditions are
also expected in the Inland Empire this weekend, with high
temperatures on Saturday 5 to 10 degrees above average. Influence
from the marine layer and onshore flow will keep coastal areas
cooler with higher humidity. Sunday and Monday will be cooler,
then a warming trend will begin around Wednesday and continue into
the following weekend.
