This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Kansas, east central Kansas, north central Kansas and northeast Kansas. .DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight. Excessive heat is expected into early evening with heat indices up to 109 degrees. Be sure to have a plan to beat the heat and check on those vulnerable to make sure they can stay cool. Thunderstorm chances increase later this evening, with the highest chances in eastern Kansas late this evening and overnight. Damaging wind gusts are the primary threat with these storms. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. A few strong to severe storms will be possible across north central into central Kansas late Thursday night into early Friday. Damaging winds and hail will be the main hazards.
