.DISCUSSION...
Warm and dry relatively dry weather continues for non-coastal
parts of Western Alaska. Widespread afternoon temperatures in the
70s will are expected through the weekend, with minimum relative
humidity values falling into the 30s and 40s percent in most
areas. Widely scattered thunderstorms are expected in the Western
Interior around a line roughly extending from Holy Cross to
McGrath to Ambler, with isolated thunderstorms possible in most
other areas, especially further inland. Isolated thunderstorms are
again possible in the Western Interior on Saturday, with widely
scattered thunderstorms possible in an area extending from
McGrath to Galena to Huslia. Sunday may also see isolated
thunderstorms in further east locations. Northerly winds up to 10
to 15 mph will be possible in further west locations today and
Saturday, including in the Lower Yukon River Valley.
