021 FLUS44 KAMA 281912 HWOAMA Hazardous Weather Outlook National Weather Service Amarillo TX 212 PM CDT Fri Jun 28 2024 OKZ001>003-TXZ001>020-317-290715- Cimarron-Texas-Beaver-Dallam-Sherman-Hansford-Ochiltree-Lipscomb- Hartley-Moore-Hutchinson-Roberts-Hemphill-Oldham-Potter-Carson- Gray-Wheeler-Deaf Smith-Randall-Armstrong-Donley-Collingsworth- Palo Duro Canyon- 212 PM CDT Fri Jun 28 2024 This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles. .DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight. Hot temperatures up to 105 today across the eastern Panhandles, as well as the Palo Duro Canyon State Park area. Heat Advisories has been issued for the areas noted and will last until 8 PM. Meanwhile, showers and storms possible tonight with best chances mainly across the northern Panhandles. Main threat will be lighting and heavy rain with any storm that forms though a severe wind gust can`t be ruled out. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. Thunderstorms will be possible across at least parts of the Oklahoma and Texas Panhandles Saturday and Sunday. A few storms that develop Saturday afternoon and evening may become severe, but concerns may quickly shift to flooding should the frontal boundary stall. Additional thunderstorms may develop across the area Wednesday through Thursday. Storms that form during this time period are expected to remain below severe levels at this time. Otherwise, look for Tuesday to be another potential candidate for heat with latest expecting widespread triple digit temperatures. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
