This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska...
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

A Heat Advisory remains in effect for much of the eastern Tri-State
area this afternoon. Heat indices up to 106 are expected in the
advisory area.

Isolated to scattered strong to potentially thunderstorms are
forecast across the area from 2 PM MDT (3 PM CDT) through about 2 AM
MDT (3 AM CDT). The primary hazards will be damaging wind gusts to
65 mph. There is a low threat for heat bursts after sunset. Heat
bursts are generally identified by a rapid increase in temperature,
rapid decrease in relative humidity in the vicinity of any decaying
showers or thunderstorms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...

A Heat Advisory is in effect for Graham and Norton counties in
Kansas for Tuesday afternoon. Heat indices up to 105 are expected in
the advisory area. Elsewhere, heat indices will reach into the low
100s.

Areas along and east of Highway 83 could see strong to severe storms
during the afternoon and evening hours. Damaging winds and large
hail are the main threats.
