...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL SOUTHERN POINTE COUPEE, WESTERN WEST
BATON ROUGE, AND NORTHERN IBERVILLE PARISHES THROUGH 615 PM CDT...

At 543 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms over Livonia, or 9 miles southwest of New Roads. These
storms were nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and heavy rainfall.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
New Roads, Livonia, Maringouin, Fordoche, Rosedale, Grosse Tete,
Erwinville, and Lottie.

This includes Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 138 and
145.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead
to ponding of water in low lying and poor drainage areas as well as
localized street flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
