The combination of heat and humidity will produce heat index values between 100 and 105 degrees Saturday and Sunday. Anyone spending time outdoors should take precaution to mitigate heat related illnesses. A cold front will cross eastern NC late Sunday into Monday. Along and ahead of this front, showers and thunderstorms could becoming strong to severe.
