FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
516 AM EDT Sun Jun 16 2024

.DISCUSSION:

Wet, active weather returns with several rounds of showers and
storms expected this morning through Monday. Some strong to severe
storms are possible. Meanwhile, a warm, moist airmass works into
the area with dewpoints climbing well into the 60s. Temperatures
today peak in the 70s, but climb higher into the 80s for much of
the UP Monday. We will likely dry out briefly for Tuesday, with
breezy southerly winds and even warmer temperatures in the upper
80s to near 90. However, dewpoints climb further to near the 70
degree mark across much of the UP, which should (in addition to
preceding rounds of rain) help limit fire concerns.
