At 728 PM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mostly in Nowata,
Craig, Washington and Ottawa counties in Oklahoma. Movement was to
the south at around 10 mph. The average amount where it rained last
hour was around one quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of two
and a half to three inches. Coverage, and intensity increased during
the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for this evening, partly
cloudy then becoming mostly cloudy, a chance of showers and
thunderstorms with temperatures 85 to 94 degrees and east winds up
to 10 mph.
