...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN SCHENECTADY...WEST
CENTRAL ALBANY AND SCHOHARIE COUNTIES THROUGH 800 PM EDT...
At 733 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near Cobleskill, moving southeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Cobleskill, Berne, Middleburgh, Summit, Schoharie, Richmondville,
Delanson, Breakabeen, Central Bridge, Knox, Carlisle, Seward,
Esperance, East Berne, Zeh Corners, West Richmondville, West Berne,
Huntersland, Warnerville, and Gardnersville.
This includes Interstate 88 between exits 20 and 23.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
