Issued at 911 AM EDT Tue Jun 25 2024 Slow moving showers and storms continue to fire up just off the coast over the eastern gulf waters. With a light onshore flow, these showers and storms will slowly move over the coastal region later this morning and further traverse inland through the afternoon and evening hours. Some of these slow moving showers and storms could produce some localized flooding. It`s already really muggy out this morning with temps and dew points in the upper 70`s to low 80`s. Max temps today will top out in the low to mid 90`s. No changes needed to current forecast.

(12Z TAFS) Issued at 911 AM EDT Tue Jun 25 2024 VFR conditions will prevail outside of thunderstorms. Light and variable winds expected early this morning, becoming westerly around 5-10 knots by late morning. Will hold VCTS to cover thunderstorms today starting at 16Z for PIE/TPA, 17-19Z for LAL/SRQ and 18Z for PGD/FMY/RSW. Storms that do develop will be slow moving. Some storms may linger into the late evening around 04Z, then clearing up overnight.

Issued at 911 AM EDT Tue Jun 25 2024 A light pressure gradient remains over the eastern Gulf of Mexico for the next few days. This is producing a light onshore flow with winds 10 knots or less and seas less than 2 feet through the end of the week. Daily showers and storms will be possible each day through the period.
