...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL SAN MIGUEL AND
SOUTH CENTRAL MORA COUNTIES THROUGH 630 PM MDT...

At 552 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Watrous, or 12 miles northeast of Las Vegas, moving northeast at 5
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Watrous.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

Motorists can expect brief but sudden changes in visibility and
ponding of water on highways as storms move through the area.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for
northeastern New Mexico.
