681 FNUS63 KABR 180943 RFDABR Rangeland Fire Danger Statement National Weather Service Aberdeen SD 443 AM CDT Wed Sep 18 2024 .DISCUSSION... Critical fire weather conditions are expected to develop today as gusty winds combine with a drying air mass leading to very high fire danger for portions of central South Dakota, especially areas west river. Increasing southerly winds will turn southwesterly in the afternoon across central South Dakota which will help to pull in the drier air mass. Minimum relative humidity values will bottom out between 15-25 percent with the lowest values occurring in west river areas. A Red Flag Warning has been posted for these areas this afternoon into early this evening.
