.DISCUSSION...
A Red Flag Warning is in effect for lightning and hot, dry, windy
conditions for portions of the Interior.
Temperatures continue rising today with highs in the mid to upper
80s across much of the Interior and min RHs around 20-25%.
Isolated thunderstorms will be around the Central Interior but the
main area of concern will be the Southeast Interior where drier,
high based, widely scattered thunderstorms are looking more
prominent.
Thursday will be a banner day for lightning as scattered wet
thunderstorms are expected from Northway to Chicken northeast
through Allakaket. This may end up being the largest lightning day
of the year so far.
