...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN CURRITUCK COUNTY
THROUGH 845 PM EDT...

At 817 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Sanderling to near Southern Shores.
Movement was east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, heavy rain, and frequent
         lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Reduced visibility and minor flooding
         possible. Frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes.

These storms will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern
Currituck County, including the following locations... Spot, Mamie,
and Harbinger.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for
northeastern North Carolina.
