...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN ULSTER...DUTCHESS
AND SOUTHWESTERN COLUMBIA COUNTIES THROUGH 400 PM EDT...

At 315 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Saugerties to Hurley to Tillson. Movement was
east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Poughkeepsie, Kingston, New Paltz, Saugerties, Rhinebeck, Hyde Park,
Milton, Pleasant Valley, Hurley, Amenia, Highland, Pine Plains,
Clermont, Red Hook, Ancram, Millbrook, High Falls, Stanfordville,
Tillson, and Saugerties South.

This includes Interstate 87 between exits 18 and 20.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
