...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN ALBANY AND SOUTHERN
SCHOHARIE COUNTIES THROUGH 730 PM EDT...
At 639 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Jefferson, or 15 miles southwest of Cobleskill, moving east at 35
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Jefferson, Middleburgh, Livingstonville, North Blenheim, Breakabeen,
Preston-Potter Hollow, Preston Hollow, Baird Corners, Huntersland,
Broome Center, West Fulton, Five Corners, Arabia, Eminence, Housons
Corners, West Jefferson, Zucks Corners, South Gilboa, South
Jefferson, and Watsonville.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
