...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 PM CDT THIS
EVENING FOR CENTRAL ALLAMAKEE, NORTHERN CRAWFORD, CENTRAL RICHLAND
AND SOUTH CENTRAL VERNON COUNTIES...

At 818 PM CDT, Law enforcement in Crawford county reported that
Highway 35 was reopened north of Ferryville after clearing debris
and mudslides. Some washed out roads across northern Crawford,
southern Vernon, and Richland counties have also been reported. This
is all due to a fast rainfall of 2 to 3 inches in these areas.
Impacts are improving.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Richland Center, Waukon, Lansing, Rockbridge, Ithaca, Soldiers
  Grove, Sylvan, Gays Mills, Readstown, De Soto, Mount Sterling,
  Ferryville, Boaz, Bell Center, Montgomeryville, Rolling Ground,
  Highway 131 And County B, County Roads J And C, Folsom and
  Horrigan Ridge.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be careful driving tonight after dark as some roads may have been
wshed out today while you were away. Do not drive on flooded roads.
