Expect mostly sunny skies today in western and northern parts of
the region, with partly cloudy skies in eastern South Dakota and
southern Minnesota. Isolated to scattered showers and
thunderstorms in eastern South Dakota and southern Minnesota will
gradually end from west to east this afternoon and into the
evening. Some of these thunderstorms may become severe in the
eastern Dakotas and across much of Minnesota. Temperatures today
will be mainly in the 80s, and with some lower 90s in South
Dakota. Breezy northwest winds are also expected today mainly in
eastern Montana and western North Dakota.

Showers and thunderstorms become more isolated on Thursday, with
temperatures expected to be slightly cooler. Widespread shower and
thunderstorm chances are forecast Friday night and into the
weekend with temperatures in the 70s and 80s. Breezy winds may
also be found at times to end the week and on through the weekend.
