305 FXUS65 KBOI 182037 AFDBOI Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Boise ID 237 PM MDT Wed Sep 18 2024 .SHORT TERM...Tonight through Friday night...Dry weather, light winds and mild temperatures will prevail over southeastern Oregon and southwestern Idaho through Friday. Skies will be mostly clear as well except for tonight in the central mountains of Idaho where clouds are lingering in the wake of the exiting upper low. A second upper low moving southward along the Pacific coast will pass well to the south of the forecast area and will not have any significant impact on our weather, but may spread a few more clouds into the area along the Nevada border on Thursday. .LONG TERM...Saturday through Wednesday...Dry weather will continue with temperatures remaining within a few degrees of seasonal normals through the weekend. Most models continue to show an upper level ridge building over the area early next week, which should allow the dry weather to continue with warm and sunny afternoons and cool clear nights. && .AVIATION...VFR. Scattered to broken clouds through this evening. Patchy fog/low stratus possible (50% chance) tonight at KMYL. Some mountain obscurations in stratus. Surface winds:W- NW 5-15 kt.
