...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN RUTLAND AND
SOUTHWESTERN WINDSOR COUNTIES THROUGH 515 PM EDT...

At 421 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm OVER
Granville, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Pawlet, Mount Holly, Ludlow, Mount Tabor, Andover, Weston, Tinmouth,
Ludlow Village, Middletown Springs, Wallingford, Mt. Holly, Mt.
Tabor, Danby, Lake St. Catherine, Wells, Plymouth, Shrewsbury,
Clarendon, Poultney, and Belmont.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
southern Vermont.
