...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT JEFFERSON...LEWIS AND
NORTHEASTERN OSWEGO COUNTIES THROUGH 645 AM EDT...

At 547 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near West Carthage, or 9 miles south of Fort Drum,
moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and very heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Watertown, Sandy Island Beach State Park, Fort Drum, Carthage,
Lowville, West Carthage, Clayton, Adams, Dexter, Glen Park, Herrings,
Adams Center, Cedar Point State Park, Southwick Beach State Park,
Redwood, Henderson Harbor, Barnes Corners, Whetstone Gulf State Park,
Denmark, and New Bremen.

This includes Interstate 81 between exits 37 and 50.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
