.DISCUSSION...

...Cold frontal passage this afternoon...

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are developing in the area
early this afternoon. Thunderstorms will be capable of producing
strong, erratic wind gusts and hail. In addition, a cold front
will cross the site around 220 to 300 PM MDT this afternoon, with
winds changing from south/southwesterly to northwesterly and gusting to
50-60 mph. Northwesterly winds 20-25 mph gusting to 30 mph will
then continue through about 600 PM MDT this evening. Winds will
weaken tonight, then increase again late Friday morning to
west/northwesterly, 25-35 mph, gusting to 40 mph, and continue
into Friday evening. Friday will be cooler with a high temperature in
the 70s.

                    thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms may be severe
                    with damaging winds and large hail.
