Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
422 AM EDT Sat Jun 15 2024

.DISCUSSION...
A weak front moves in from the north today, then drops south of the
area on Sunday. Mainly expect isolated afternoon and evening
convection focused from the central Midlands south across the CSRA
through the weekend. High pressure and drier conditions are then
expected through much of the upcoming week.

Temperatures today will be in the mid to upper 90s for many areas with
heat index values in the low 100s. Temperatures are expected to
fall a few degrees for Sunday into next week, but afternoon highs
will remain in the low to mid 90s.

Fog potential for tonight: Patchy fog is possible tonight mainly
near area lakes and rivers.
