Survey Summary:
Weather spotter video confirms a tornado briefly spun up off the
200 block of Rembold Rd in Meyersdale, Greenville Township,
Somerset County. The tornado was on the ground for less than one
minute at approximately 3:33 PM Saturday, Aug 31, 2024. The
tornado covered a path length of about 0.1 mile, downing several
trees, and destroying a medium sized barn with one corner of the
barn still standing. Two witnesses say they saw a tornado from
nearby residences. Max estimated winds 85 mph. Video shows the
tornado briefly produced a condensation funnel.

weather spotters, and local residents for their assistance in this
survey.
