...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN SEWARD...MEADE AND
WESTERN CLARK COUNTIES THROUGH 1000 PM CDT...

At 914 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles northwest of Forgan, or 11 miles southeast of Hayne, moving
east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern
Seward, Meade and western Clark Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
southwestern Kansas.
