.DISCUSSION...

Area radars show predominately showers over northwestern
Minnesota this morning are gradually weakening as they move east
into into parts of northern Minnesota around midday into mid
afternoon, with little in the way of additional accumulations
(0.10" or less). A warm and moist airmass will develop today and
additional thunderstorms are possible this evening into early
tonight as a warm and cold front move through the region. There is
potential for isolated severe thunderstorms this evening into
tonight but their development is not certain (severe potential of
less than 20% for the response location). If they do develop,
hazards will be hail to 1-2 inches in diameter and damaging winds
up to 60 mph. If storms do occur, additional rainfall amounts of
0.25-0.5 inches are not out of the question.

Some additional showers will occur Tuesday, with most areas
precipitation free on Wednesday. A wind shift will occur Monday
night behind the cold front with winds stronger on Tuesday out of
the west or northwest.
