.DISCUSSION...

Search site and General Ely Forecast -

A few isolated showers and perhaps a thunderstorm (10% chance) are
possible in the southern vicinity of KELO from around 730 PM to 11
PM, but not expected near the SAR location. Light westerly winds
this evening back to southeasterly overnight under increasing high
clouds. Look for lows tonight to be in the mid-50s.

Highs will be in the upper 70s to
around 80 degrees and southeast winds increase during the daytime
to 10 to 13 mph with gusts around 20-25 mph during the afternoon. Showers
and thunderstorms develop along a cold front and enter the area
from the west on Tuesday afternoon. A few of the storms could be
strong to marginally severe between about 5-8 PM and produce wind
gusts up to 50-60 mph and hail up to 0.75 to 1 inch in diameter.
Showers and some embedded non-severe thunderstorms linger into
Tuesday evening. Rainfall amounts of upwards of 0.6-1 inches are
possible with the showers and storms, heaviest during the late
afternoon into early evening.

Ely Visibility and Ceilings -

IFR to potentially LIFR ceilings will be possible later tonight
through about 14Z on Tuesday along with some areas of fog down to
1-3 mile visibilities before visibilities improve by mid morning.

Outlook for Tuesday, ceilings improving to VFR by late morning
before MVFR ceilings/visibilities develop again late
