While water levels have begun to recede, some larger rivers will not crest for another day or two. Isolated thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and early this evening. The strongest storms will produce occasional cloud-to- ground lightning, small hail up to half an inch in diameter, and wind gusts up to 40 mph. Severe weather is not anticipated today or tonight. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday With water levels still elevated, flooding will remain a concern across northeast Minnesota with the potential for further rain chances starting early next week. Severe thunderstorms are possible Monday late afternoon through Monday night. All hazards including large hail, damaging wind, and a tornado are possible. The storms may produce brief locally heavy rain as well, however, they are expected to move quickly enough to limit the risk of widespread heavy rain. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Occasional cloud-to- water lightning and small hail are the main threats. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday Chances for thunderstorms return continue on Monday night with additional chances later in the week.
