...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Cedar River at Waterloo affecting Black Hawk County.

  Cedar River at Janesville affecting Black Hawk, Butler and Bremer
  Counties.

  Cedar River at Cedar Falls affecting Black Hawk County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

For the latest river and stream observations and forecasts refer to
weather.gov/desmoines/water.

River forecasts include observed precipitation plus forecast
precipitation over the next 24 hours.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY FRIDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...The Cedar River at Waterloo, or from the Waterloo-Cedar
  Falls city limits to Spring Creek near La Porte City.

* WHEN...Until early Friday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, The Riverview Recreation Area is closed.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 13.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.8
    feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage
    early Friday morning.
  - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

  to the West Fork Cedar River.

* WHEN...Until early Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Water threatens areas of Janesville south
  of 8th St.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:45 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 13.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.6
    feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage
    tomorrow afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

  Cedar River to the Cedar Falls-Waterloo city limits.

* WHEN...Until early Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 93.8 feet, Water affects Cedar City...the road at 216
  E Lake St...and the north edge of the road at 2125 Lone Tree Rd.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:45 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 92.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 93.7
    feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood
    stage early Friday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 89.0 feet.
