HOWEVER, SNOWFALL FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR WAS ABOVE NORMAL. THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR THE YEAR WAS 39.8 DEGREES WHICH WAS 2.4 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL. A SERIES OF ARCTIC OUTBREAKS DURING JANUARY AND FEBRUARY KEPT THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURES WELL BELOW NORMAL AND THE BELOW NORMAL TREND CONTINUED INTO MAY. JUNE THROUGH NOVEMBER SAW SLIGHTLY ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND AN ARCTIC OUTBREAK DURING DECEMBER HELPED KEEP OVERALL TEMPERATURES BELOW NORMAL FOR THE YEAR. PRECIPITATION FOR THE YEAR WAS 21.42 INCHES WHICH IS 2.53 INCHES BELOW NORMAL. THE JANUARY THROUGH MARCH PERIOD WAS ABOVE NORMAL. APRIL SAW THE SECOND HIGHEST MONTHLY PRECIPITATION TOTAL ON RECORD. THIS WAS DUE TO LATE SEASON STORMS IMPACTING THE REGION. THE MONTH OF MAY SAW THE WET TREND CONTINUE WITH WELL ABOVE NORMAL PRECIPITATION. HOWEVER, THE JUNE THROUGH AUGUST PERIOD WAS CLOSER TO NORMAL IN PRECIPITATION. SEPTEMBER THROUGH NOVEMBER WERE DRIER MONTHS OFFSETTING THE WETTER CONDITIONS. HOWEVER, DECEMBER WAS WETTER THAN NORMAL BUT OVERALL SAW BELOW NORMAL LIQUID FOR THE YEAR. TOTAL SNOWFALL FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR WAS ABOVE NORMAL. THERE WAS 55.9 INCHES OF SNOW WHICH IS 4.5 INCHES ABOVE NORMAL. MARCH AND NOVEMBER RECORDED BELOW NORMAL SNOWFALL WHILE DECEMBER HAD WELL ABOVE NORMAL SNOWFALL TO PUSH THE OVERALL TOTALS TO ABOVE NORMAL FOR THE YEAR.
