Warning for the following rivers in South Dakota...

  Medary Creek near Medary affecting Brookings County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.

* WHERE...Medary Creek near Medary.

* WHEN...From this morning until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 1589.0 feet, moderate flooding of pasture and crop
  land begins, water is over the top of the culvert on 474th Avenue,
  216th Street floods near 474th Avenue, and water reaches the
  bottom of the bridge on 475th Avenue.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:15 AM CDT Monday the stage was 1588.6 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 11:15 AM CDT Monday was 1588.6 feet.
