In 2005, multiple thunderstorms moved across northwest Kansas during
the early evening, producing large hail, strong winds, and an F0
tornado. Near Traer and Oberlin, quarter sized hail and estimated
50 mph winds damaged a metal horse barn and two irrigation pivots.
The F0 tornado moved across an open field near Sharon Springs and
caused no known damage.
A 79 mph wind broke nine power poles near Weskan in Wallace County and
4.30 inches of rain resulted in nuisance flooding.
