Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

Over the past 24 hours, the Tri State region has seen daytime
highs top off in a range from the mid 90s through the mid 100s.
Lows during this time ranged from the upper 50s into the mid 60s.
There was no precipitation.

OUTLOOK... hot temperatures will persist over the area through
Friday. Much the region will see up to the low and mid 100s today
and Tuesday, with 90s thereafter for Wednesday through Friday.
The hot numbers today and Tuesday will bring about high heat
indices, prompting Heat Advisory for portions of the area today
and on Tuesday.

There will be scattered afternoon and evening chances for
precipitation today and Tuesday, but from Wednesday onward there
will be increased chances to bring needed rain relief to the area.
The lack of moisture today and Tuesday combined with expected
highs will create increased fire danger for areas along/west of
Highway 27.
