...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN MCDOWELL...EASTERN
BUNCOMBE AND SOUTHEASTERN YANCEY COUNTIES THROUGH 315 PM EDT...

At 234 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles east of Downtown Asheville, or over Swannanoa, moving east at
25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Downtown Asheville, East Asheville, North Asheville, Black Mountain,
Swannanoa, Fairview In Buncombe County, Old Fort, B.R. Parkway-Nc
Arboretum To East Asheville, B.R. Parkway-East Asheville To Craggy
Gardens, and B.R. Parkway-Craggy To Little Switzerland.
