This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Heat index values will range from 100 to 104 degrees this afternoon
across southeast Kansas and a portion of south central Kansas.

A few severe thunderstorms will be possible late this afternoon and
early evening for locations along and east of the Kansas Turnpike.
The stronger storms will be capable of half dollar size hail along
with 60 mph downburst winds.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Better chances for more numerous thunderstorms area-wide will
increase this weekend. Strong to marginally severe storms will be
possible along with locally heavy rainfall.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not anticipated this afternoon or tonight.
