Temperatures were at or near the century mark over the west side of the state and in the low to mid 90s the remainder. Full sunshine and breezy conditions dominated most of the area. However there were some scattered cumulus clouds around and storms beginning to erupt over the southwest corner of the state late this afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms are likely to continue to develop along a deepening trough across the high plains tonight. A frontal boundary across eastern Nebraska through northeast Colorado will aid in storms developing. There is also a slight chance of thunderstorms across central Kansas with the help of warm air advecting into the area. Lows will range from the mid 50s across the panhandle of Nebraska to the mild mid 70s over northeast Oklahoma under partly cloud skies in the west to mostly clear east. Temperatures on Monday will pretty much be the same as previous days with highs near 100 in western Kansas to the low to mid 90s east under partly to mostly sunny skies. Winds will be breezy with gust between 25 to 35 mph out of south. $$
