Early morning showers continued to impact parts of central Kansas
but this activity is expected to continue diminishing this
morning. Low clouds over northeast Oklahoma may move into parts of
southeast Kansas this morning while the remainder of the region
experienced partly to mostly cloudy conditions. Early morning
temperatures remained mild for mid September ranging from the
lower 70s in southwest Kansas to the mid and upper 60s elsewhere.

Warm and humid conditions will develop over central and eastern
Kansas today with breezy south winds. Afternoon highs will top out
in the low to mid 90s across western Kansas while upper 80s will
be common in northeast Kansas. Storms are expected to develop
across the high plains of western Kansas late this afternoon.

Showers and storms will spread eastward off the high plains
tonight impacting much of central and portions of eastern Kansas
toward dawn. Low temperatures are expected to fall into the mid
and upper 50s in extreme western Kansas while those in eastern
Kansas see lows in the mid and upper 60s.
