895 AWUS83 KICT 290950 RWSICT KSZ032-033-047>053-067>072-082-083-091>096-098>100-292200- Regional Weather Summary National Weather Service Wichita KS 450 AM CDT Sat Jun 29 2024 Two areas of showers and storms were ongoing across the state with one across central Kansas the second across southeast Kansas. Each of these areas should decrease in intensity and coverage shortly after sunrise. Otherwise, temperatures remain mild in the upper 70s and low 80s across the central Plains. A cold front will sag into far southern Kansas and northern Oklahoma. Hot and humid conditions are expected along this front with heat index values up to 110 degrees expected. A few showers and storms are possible along the front late this afternoon into the evening. Better chances for showers and storms arrive late tonight into Sunday morning, especially across central and south central Kansas. Severe weather is not expected although any storm will contain heavy rainfall. $$
