At 756 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Solomon, or 8 miles west of Abilene, moving southeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern Saline County. This includes Interstate 70 between Mile Markers 258 and 266. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
