At 909 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking outflow winds from a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 8 miles northwest of Cheney to Norwich. Movement was southeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Wichita, Goddard, Clearwater, Cheney, Garden Plain, Viola, West Wichita, Eisenhower National Airport, Lake Afton, and Cheney Lake. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. If on or near Cheney Lake, get out of the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle.
